About LCS

Leadership Community School (LCS)

The Leadership Community School (LCS) was originally founded in August, 2021 by a group of four (4) God-fearing, skilled and passionate executives who had the desire to bring transformation to education of children and youth. LCS is currently located on the Orchids Street, off the Dellagio road, Wa, Upper West region. The school colors’ are blue-black (intelligence), gold (wealth), grey (impartial), and white (purity). ALL THESE ARE VIRTUES WE SEEK TO SEE IN OUR STUDENTS AS THEY GROW INTO GREAT LEADERS. Here at LCS, we believe that GREAT MINDS make GREAT LEADERS.

Vision Statement

To groom and nurture our children into becoming effective, ethical, and God-fearing leaders both domestically and globally.

Mission Statement

To train and raise the next generation of God-fearing leaders by exposing our students to diversified experiences and opportunities to prepare them for college and reputable careers both domestically and globally.

Statement of Purpose

LCS seeks to educate, train and prepare our students to be God-fearing, effective and ethical leaders in this rapidly changing world, by teaching them to think critically, analyze matters from a global perspective, and function in the fear of the Lord God Almighty, with honesty, compassion, loyalty, and perseverance. The management and staff of LCS seek to collaborate with all stakeholders, which is an integral component towards developing an unbiassed and diverse learning environment. A high level of involvement is fostered through frequent parent communication and opportunities for parents, students, and staff to interact in the school environment through our Parent-Teachers Interaction (PTI) meetings. LCS was established to groom and nurture our children into becoming effective, ethical and God-fearing leaders both domestically and globally.

Direction

At LCS, we make constant efforts to partner with like-minded institutions in providing the necessary materials and opportunities to help achieve our purpose as a school. Additionally, ongoing assessment is used to customize meaningful learning experiences to meet the needs of all students, and differentiated instruction provides optimal learning opportunities to engage a diverse group of learners. Real-world problem-solving opportunities are created through purposeful activities and discovery learning. Our hope and prayer is that, students develop intrinsic motivation so they accept ownership of their learning, encouraging them to become responsible, ethical and civicminded leaders in their communities and career paths. Recent reports from the FDA state that school meals are healthy and children who eat school meals consume more fruits, vegetables, whole grains and dairy items than children
who do not eat school meals. The meals served in our school are specified to contain limited amounts of fat and sodium. In addition, our menu items are rich in whole grains, lean meats, fresh fruits, vegetables and limited deep fried meals. To ensure menus reflect student preferences, student feedback is encouraged. Student Nutrition Ambassadors (SNAs) are scheduled to meet several times in a year, to share their menu preference and taste potential new menu items. School breakfast and lunch can affect a student’s eating habits by exposing them to variety of different new kinds of foods that they may not have previous eaten.
